Reviews From Happy Home Buyers
“Darrena was great to work with! She came highly recommended from our lender and was on top of things from our first phone call. My husband and I are moving back to NC from Seattle, WA and she was extremely thorough throughout the full process. She was able to show us some new build communities that had availability for our ideal moving timeline and helped us choose the right neighborhood & builder for us. I would highly recommend her to anyone that is looking to buy a home in the Rale... Read More
“WOW, Derrena is amazing and made the home-buying incredibly smooth, easy and as stress-free as possible. Her down-to-earth and human approach to understanding both the buyers and sellers truly brought this experience to the next level. But above all of that, everyone that Darrena brought in was also top-notch! From her internal team at Home Sweet Home are SO enjoyable and thoughtful, to the inspector she suggested (Ryan) doing SUCH a thorough jo, to the loan officer she suggested (Sean) t... Read More
“I have a ton of respect for Darrena for her relentless advocacy for my interests during my home buying process. As a first time home buyer I actually went under contract twice – the first time was for new construction which suffered a ton of delays. I worked with Darrena for a year as she helped manage a difficult relationship with the builder. I credit her tirelessness in her advocacy for helping me eventually terminate that contract and find something more suitable in the resale m... Read More
As first time home buyers Darrena and team were professional, engaging and knowledgeable in every aspect of the process. We moved from out of state (Virginia) and Home Sweet Home Raleigh made sure we were taken care of. This included showing up to inspections, video walk throughs and the list goes on. We were very confident in in the team getting us the best deal and looking out for our certain needs! I highly recommend using Home Sweet Home Raleigh. 10 out of 5 stars!
Darrena was such a great partner and supporter during our home buying process. As first time home owners, it was such a relief to have her there asking the hard questions we never would have thought to ask. Darrena has a bright personality, strong attention to detail, and was always there if we needed her. Would absolutely recommend her and her team. We look forward to working with her again in the future!
Finding the right house in this incredibly tough market is quite a challenge, but Darrena is up to the task. She is high energy, hard working, and extremely communicative. Send her an email or text, she replies immediately. Made my wife and myself feel like her number one priority. Haley, Darrena’s operations director, is outstanding. She kept us on course throughout the buying and closing process, answered any questions we had with amazing efficacy. We can not say enough good things about thi... Read More
Darrena and her team were so amazing in helping me find my first home! They were very responsive and attentive and I was very confident in having them on my side during such a crazy market. As a first time home buyer, they made sure I was very comfortable and informed every step of the process. I’m very grateful to them and would highly recommend to others!
Darrena’s knowledge and expertise in her field really helped us feel more at ease during the home buying/building experience, even more so since we were constantly 3 hours away from town. Darrena goes the extra mile in making sure all of your questions, thoughts, and concerns are addressed and is a prompt communicator! Her assistant Haley did awesome as well with keeping all of our appointments in check! I definitely recommend Home Sweet Home for your home buying … experience!! 😊
I was house hunting from 4 states away. Darrena made the process easy. Once we found the perfect home, Darrena used her skill and experience to ensure the seller chose our offer over the many others that were presented. It’s not just about making an offer with the highest price- there are other details to be considered. I highly recommend Home Sweet Home Raleigh!

Below you will find some of the most frequently asked questions a home buyer may have. Reponses are provided by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission.
What services might a buyer agent provide?
Whether you have a written or unwritten agreement, a buyer agent will perform a number of services for you- These may include: helping you find a suitable property, arrange financing, learn more about the property, and otherwise promote your best interests. If you have a written agency agreement, the agent can also help you prepare and submit a written offer to the seller.
What happens if the buyer agency agreement expires?

If you are not under contract to buy a property when your buyer agency agreement expires, then your agent must immediately stop representing you unless you first enter into a new buyer agency agreement with the agent.
What is “Due Diligence”?
“Due Diligence” is the buyer’s opportunity to engage in a process of further investigation of the property and the transaction as described in the Offer to Purchase form within a period of time agreed to by the seller and buyer.
What is the “Due Diligence” Fee?
